Colden Meets Texas

Cole had his first taste of Texas on our trip 'home' for Christmas. He was a good sport on the airplane... I just wished he didn't weigh so much because my arms and back got tired holding him!

After a short visit in The Woodlands, we headed to Waxahachie for Christmas with the Martin Family on December 20th. It was great to see the entire family and Cole loved meeting Jeremy's Granny, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins for the first time. They spoiled him with gifts (thank you!) and took turns holding him and getting lots of smiles. We had to watch Dawn carefully to make sure that she didn't kidnap him!

On Saturday evening we drove to Grand Prairie to stay at Gigi and Papa's house. Cole felt right at home in the pack n' play and loved all of the fun toys they had for him. He was such a sweet little guy despite getting his first cold and not feeling too well.
We enjoyed our Christmas celebration together with several 'alternative' Christmas gifts like donations of well water, homework from Jennifer and other gifts of time and family. Cole was spoiled again, of course!
On Sunday evening, we all headed to the Gaylord Texan Resort to see the lights and enjoyed a fabulous dinner. Everything was wonderful, including the chocolate tamale that Jennifer shared with me for dessert.

After limited sleep, we headed back to Houston early Monday morning which ended up being a good decision. Cole was able to breathe AND sleep in his carseat while I also got some sleep!
