Cougar Mountain Zoo

Gigi and Papa are in town this weekend to celebrate Blakely's arrival and, of course, spoil Colden. Jeremy needed to work Friday, so the 5 of us headed to Cougar Mountain Zoo in Issaquah for the morning. This was our first time there and we loved it. Its a small zoo... just the right size for Colden to walk and Blakely to sleep in the stroller ;)

We are so lucky to have such a talented friend, Lynda, who loves to shoot newborn photos! She spent several hours at our house on Saturday primarily focused on Blakely, but sure to capture some family photo's as well. Here is a sneak peak from our photo shoot!Lynda does such amazing work. At Home

We have kept busy at home this week. We were blessed to have Jeremy home from work most of the week to take great care of us (especially me). Kind of tough with the early arrival of Blakely. I have been recovering really well, but needed my reminders to take it easy ;)
Blakely went from 7lbs 4oz at his check-up on Wednesday to 7lbs 9oz at his pediatrician's appointment today. He also grew a quarter inch this week! He is gulping down his milk and sleeping well! We've been spoiled with usually only 2 night feedings--so lots of sleep for mom and dad too!
Blakely is still so tiny, the few newborn pj's that we have are still big on him! I never thought that we would have a small baby (25th % for weight, 50th % for height) let alone an early baby!

Meanwhile, Jeremy's mom came into town early to help out. She is having fun with Colden, taking him to Gymboree and for lots of walks, and was really sweet to make lasagna one night for dinner. Colden says 'Gigi fun'.

Colden has also been spoiled with lots of daddy and park time. We even had a chance to go out with just Colden for a little trip to the store. I think he was happy to have mommy and daddy all to himself ;)

Brothers

Colden is adjusting to life with a little brother. Just about every time he walks into the house or wakes up from a nap he asks for his 'brother Blakely'. Before Blakely's arrival, his name was pronounced 'Blakey', missing the second L. Now he has it down :)

What's better than kissing your little brothers feet?

Blakely sure is a cutie (as repeated by Colden)--not to be confused with cutie-pie since Colden is mommy's 'pie'. Colden also enjoyed the car ride with his little brother and pointed out that Blakely wears a seat belt just like him!

Baby Henry Arrived!

My Sister Renee has been expecting a boy along with me... she [was] a week ahead of me which has been fun to share with her. Baby Henry decided that April 7th would be a perfectly good birthday (4 days after his big sis turned 2 years old). Congrats Westcott Family!

Its been a week since my last blog post, primarily due to the fact that I've been busy nesting and getting ready for this baby to arrive! As of today, I'm having contractions, but no dilation (bummer!). We're on a very strict plan (baby either arrives before April 9th or not until April 20th) as my doctor will be on vacation and I would rather not have the baby without him!

Besides organizing and house cleaning, I had two nights out with the girls this week (thanks Jeremy!) which were both fun. I even managed to sneak in a pedi (thanks Mom Martin!) on Wednesday while the boys when to Colden's Gymboree Class.
