Putt Putt

We took the boys to play putt putt for the first time. Colden thoroughly enjoyed it! Daddy and he putted while Blakely played with his ball and I chased him :) We can't wait to go again!

My Golfers

Here are my 3 boys in their golf gear!

Colden has been putting in quite a bit of time practicing in the backyard since he and daddy went shopping for a set of 'real' clubs. He gets blisters on his hands, so I am looking for a glove small enough for him... haven't found that yet. In 18 years you may need to check the PGA to see if Colden is touring... he is quite good.

Watering the Flowers

Today, on our way home, Colden asked to go potty and it was evident that he would not be able to make it home, so we stopped to take him, but the line was too long, so Jeremy took him out behind the gas station and Colden "watered a tree". He got in the car to tell me about it and said, "Mom, now we need to go home and water the flowers with my pee pee".

Cousins...

Rather than flying back from Corpus Christi, mom drove us to Houston to spend a couple days with my sister Renee's family before flying home. It wasn't a long enough stay, but we had a great visit. Renee cooked fabulous dinners for us and we even enjoyed eating out on the patio with Dan and Stephanie one evening. My brother Brian was in town for business and we got to see him in the mornings (he worked way too late for us each night!).
Colden and Lydia challenge eachother, but are still best friends. Blakely loved any attention that Lydia would give him, but didn't really seem to notice his cousin Henry (who is 2 days older than Blakely). I look forward to seeing how that changes in August.

At least we got them in the bath for a little fun together!

After a hot afternoon of playing...

Blakely eating his first popsicle!
We loved the splash park... Lydia was a little cold, not my kids! Blakely could have played for hours! Thanks for the wonderful visit... we are looking forward to having you in August and next spring we promise to stay longer!

Our Sunny Escape

Jeremy had business all over Europe for 12 days in May, so I decided to brave traveling alone with the boys so that we could escape to somewhere sunny and where I wouldn't be quite so lonely without him! There really isn't a better time of the year to travel to Texas than May, so it was perfect timing.

We flew into Corpus to visit my parents for a week. It was not fun having to change planes, running with two little ones through the Houston airport, but we managed to make our connection just in time. The excitement and all of the running was a good energy burn for Colden before sitting on another plane for 45 minutes. Blakely was unusually chill... that was a huge answer to prayer!
We had a wonderful visit with my parents... very relaxed and not busy. It was kinda like being home, but better since there was SUN, a pool in the backyard and a golf course too! Colden was in heaven. All three of us loved the Yacht club too and I think we bored my dad by eating there more than once in a week :) Mom and I walked every morning with the boys and I dove for dive sticksat the bottom of the pool a million times for Colden. He was so good on his own jumping in the pool (with a live preserver of course).
We love the Texas State Acquarium... the Dolphin show is as good as Sea World's. Colden went for a ride in Paca's "fast car".
Colden and Paca also spent some quality time on the golf course... Colden is seriously good!Colden has been thanking me at least a couple times a week for taking him to the fountain at Nana's house (still... weeks later) Blakely loved it too!
Of course, we had some Chic-Fil-A while we were there! Colden spotted the advertising for ice cream and chose to turn in his toy in favor of an ice cream cone which he also has been talking about for weeks!
My favorite evenings were the one when dad made me a black cow and watched a mexican american movie that mom rented thinking it was a sequel to the Devil Wears Prada... and the one where we sat outside with a glass of wine and chatted for a couple hours. Jeremy really missed out that night! thanks Mom & Dad for such a nice visit.
