Noodle Boat

Last night we had dinner with Lynda and Mike at one of our favorite Thai restaurants, Noodle Boat. The food was great, but the highlight of the evening was Colden holding Mike for the first time ;)

Sooo cute, I couldn't resist!

Shopping with Mommy

Cole and I spent Wednesday in Bellevue shopping and he was a perfect angel all day. He was sure to charm every single person who wanted to see who I had in my stroller with his big grins. It was so adorable! I wish that I had videos of all the smiles he was giving away... at least I took a picture of him in his cute sweater from Aunt Steph before we left the house.

Liddy Legs

In honor of Cole's cousin Lydia whose legs are in constant motion, we tell Cole that he has "Liddy Legs" whenever he really gets them going!

Tag You're It: 6th Folder, 6th Picture

Renee tagged me (silly blog games!) to share the 6th picture in the 6th folder under My Photos.
This is our friend Matt holding Cole the day after he was born. Amy (Matt's husband) would like to take credit for this picture being taken at their house with the lovely wall paper and all, but its a hospital shot ;)

I tag Kim, Sherry, Carol, Amanda, and Kaitlin (now you have a reason to post a new blog).

Aunt Jennifer & Aunt Jamie Visit

Jennifer and Jamie are Jeremy's sisters who both live in the Dallas area. They flew up to Seattle for the weekend to meet Cole and get a little tour of where we live.

A visit to Seattle wouldn't be complete without a trip to Pike Place Market!
On Sunday, we headed out to Fall City Farms to visit a pumpkin patch and soak up another gorgeous fall day. On our way, we stumbled upon the Roadhouse Cafe and stopped for brunch/lunch. We discovered 'the perfect pancake' among our other good food and decided that this will not be the last time we eat there! It was a beautiful drive out to the farm where we enjoyed fabulous freshly made apple cider and took tons of pictures!

Cole's New Friend

Cole made a new friend last week... Elijah (son of our friends Amy & Nathan Rosas). Eli is just 4 weeks younger than Cole and as cute as can be!

This is a picture of the boys on their first 'play-date'.

Gigi's Visit

Jeremy's Mom, whom we refer to as Gigi realizing that until Cole (the first grandchild) speaks her name really isn't set in stone, came to visit again. Thank goodness for an extra pair of hands in the kitchen and around the house during her 9 day stay! She really helped make the transition for Jeremy back home (after his 2 weeks of traveling overseas) so nice... allowing Colden, Jeremy and I to bond as a family again.

Gigi, Cole and I enjoyed the beautiful fall days together taking walks around the neighborhood, a shopping day at Bellevue Square (yes, a clearly repeated pattern), coffee and more! We also had a little Sunday football with the Amy & Matt, Mike & Lynda and Bill & Gail all coming by to visit Cole.

She and Cole had a special morning together while we were away for long enough that he had to drink a bottle (this was much harder on mommy than on Cole!). Cole tells me that they had a fun time watching his turtle mobile and listening to his Curious George CD and that Gigi took great care of him.

Papa, Jeremy's Dad, arrived for the second weekend of Gigi's visit. Gigi fixed our favorite lasagna and meat loaf so I didn't have to cook once the entire weekend (thank you!). We had a nice weekend together, making time to celebrate Papa's birthday while we were all together.

This is his one month photo with his new friend, Skipit, a gift from Aimee and Jake!

Cinderella's Visit

My Mom, Nana, came to visit one week after Cole's birth and stayed for 2 weeks. We had an absolutely wonderful time together! It was so fun to share some of my first moments of motherhood with her and I couldn't be more thankful for her company while Jeremy was traveling overseas.

I jokingly refer to her as Cinderella on this visit because she really did make the beds, do the dishes, clean the bathrooms, cook breakfast lunch and dinner, and the list goes on! She is also as beautiful and youthful as the fairytale Cinderella! One of my sweet friends even commented on how great she looks and wants to know her secret... my best guess at her secret is that if you keep thinking that you are 28 years old inside, you'll stay young and beautiful on the outside!

For those of you who read my sister's blog, you have seen all of the blackberry jam, pies and cobbler that Mom made with all of the wild berries that she picked. It was a messy kitchen for a few days, but well worth the wonderful jam that I've been enjoying on my english muffins!

We also had a lot of fun out shopping (Nordstrom sales spiked during her visit). One day, we were there for 5 hours straight... good thing for the cafe and mother's lounge so we never had to leave!

We also visited a few of the area markets (everyone should try the brick oven pizza at the Mercer Island Sunday Market), enjoyed a few visits to the coffee shop and walking in my neighborhood watching the warm sunny days turn into Autumn.

While, I was glad that the time passed quickly for Jeremy's return, I wish the two of us had more time together... we never finish everything on our list!
Thanks Mom, Colden and I loved our visit with you and look forward to the next time you come to stay with us. Maybe Paca will be able to come next time too!
